The Library contains 40.000 volumes mainly in the field of Greek archaeology and of ancient Greek religion and history, including 450 periodicals.

The Library mainly caters towards Nordic scholars but also welcomes both Greek and foreign scholars who are members of the various research institutions and archaeological schools of Greece.
Nordic scholars who would like to work for a shorter or longer period as residents in the Library (we offer office space and access 24/7 to the library) should contact either the relevant institute or the Library directly.

The Library has a full subscription to Archaeopress' e-book monograph content.
On the landing page you need only click ‘Continue to browse all digital downloads available through your account’ to complete the login process.
The existing archive has over 200 titles available immediately with approx. 6-12 new titles added each calendar month.
E-books are made available at the same time as print editions.
Currently the following online resources from Brill and Oxford University Press are available from the library premises on a trial basis. If you would like the Library to extend access to some or all of these resources please let us know by e-mail or the suggestion form.
The Nordic Library remains closed over the holidays from the 24th of December to the 6th of January.
